Appleworks was easy to use chart and make labels. Charting in iWork’08 is more torture than going into the Apple Store on a hot day in Baton Rouge with the doors open while a children’s day care center uses the stuff for new toys.

Tried 1.000 times on 10.6 (MacbookPro ). Always with the “bad file description” error.

Found an “old” 10.5 (PPC). Just started the DiskUtility and it looks like it’s doing something. Calculating time …

thank you very much i tried everything. i reinstalled osx and everything. i backed everything up in safe mode so i wouldn’t loose anything. it ran fine until i resored with time machine. then the problem came back with it. thanks agian.

I get the same “Could not validate source – Bad file descriptor” using Snow Leopard 10.6.2. My new external drive is a 1TB LaCie and the old one is a 500GB acomdata.

Don’t know what to do to fix this. I’m just going to burn the last back up to DVD and then start with the new 1TB drive. The old one will be erased.

fired up numbers today to plot 2 series on a single graph. 30 minutes later and i still can’t get it to work.
